Description

The Edelbrock Sure Seat Valve Spring is intended for use together with non-rotator style retainers. The basic purpose of a valve spring is to shut the valve while in addition ensuring this the valve train stays in contact together with the cam lobe. The Sure Seat valve springs are intended for use on OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) heads when used in conjunction together with their Performer-In addition, Performer RPM, and Torker-In addition camshafts. The valve spring seats offer protection for aluminum heads and locate the valve spring to prevent it from moving all-around at higher engine speeds. Good valve springs offer sufficient seat pressure to agree to a tight fit between the valve face and the valve seat to seal the combustion chamber. Valve springs require checking the clearance between the rocker arm and the retainer before starting the engine.
