Customer rating is 1 of 5  It worked for 3220 miles   2009-11-14

Installed ($50.00 installation cost)on July 22, 2009 for my 1999 Toyota Corolla, and after 10 miles of driving, the Check Engine Light went off by itself (P0420 code). The car passed the smog test in July, but the light came back on again with just 3220 miles(same code P0420). Luckily, I don't have to take the emission test until 2011 that means another converter replacement.

Bought this cat for my Porsche 944 with alot of doubt. Installation was fairly simple with the purchase of a few adapters and muffler clamps. It went through emissions with flying colors. At a dealership this repair would have cost around $1200.00 minimum, total cost for me was about $50.00 as I took advantage of a returned/like new item.

I purchased this catalytic converter for my Lotus Esprit Turbo, which is listed as one of the cars it is compatible with (and original parts are discontinued). I realized that it would probably need to be welded in as opposed to bolted on, however when I gave it to my mechanic and he got into the job, he told me that it would take a HUGE amount of work to make this part fit properly. For one thing, it doesn't have a take-off valve for the turbo, and that would have had to been created from scratch. I finally located an original refurbished Lotus part which was installed within a day. What I paid extra for on the part itself was more than saved on the labor.
