You get a pair of mats. The mats are made of a rubber base and what appears to be vinyl inlaid solid color pieces. The pair I received had black ink transfer from, of all things, the Amazon shipping label. There was also some color transfer from other-colored vinyl, the way red playdoh sometimes has a bit of blue playdoh melted into it when you mush them together, likely as part of the manufacturing process. The indents into which the vinyl inlaid pieces are glued into have a 1/16 inch gap. I can imagine that the vinyl components pick up oil, and the gaps pick up sand and dirt. So these mats may be very hard to clean after a winter season. I ordered these for someone's birthday. One was okay, and the other one I tossed because I could not get the black ink off. Otherwise, it's a nice looking, cheerful and decorative mat, so if you're a die-hard Hello Kitty fan, you might give these a shot despite the drawbacks.

These mats make a cute accent to my new Mazda5 with black interior. They fit great. I only need to vacuum them when I wash my car and wipe Hello Kitty's face clean. The color isn't just painted on like I thought. The color goes all the way through, so it will never wipe off or wear off.
