I am not a mechanic--period. I am not a car buff or an auto enthusiast and I do not read Car and Driver. I simply needed a truck bed extender for my '09 Chevy Colorado. For several days I looked at every single truck bed extender on the Internet and chose Versa-gate. Price was the main reason- it was $100 less than the nearest competitor. The other factor was its easy removal for storage (so they said). They were right. Shipping was fast, and for this non-mechanical mind, installation was a breeze. It is not heavy, and easy to get into place. Time will tell if the corners, fittings and parts will last. Right now, it looks and works great.
